A pen and ink sketch of a Chimpanzee for the July Pen and Ink Challenge hosted at http://www.wetcanvas.com
Below is a very recent pen and ink drawing. As always this is from my sketchbook.
This is from my current sketchbook. It is a pen and ink sketch that I created for the May pen and ink challenge at wetcanvas.com I generally try to participate in these challenges each month.
Each month a group of photos from the wetcanvas reference library are selected to be used as photo references for the challenge. Participant’s can select any or all of the photos that they would like to sketch. There isn’t any hint of competition the challenge is simply a way to motivate and encourage those who would like to participate. It is open to anyone from absolute beginners to seasoned artist.
A quick pen & ink sketch with some added color using Koi watercolor markers. This was done using a photo reference.
This is a pen & ink sketch that I did as part of the wetcanvas.com monthly pen & ink challenge. This is done from a photo reference.
This is a pen & ink sketch of a small vintage electric heater that I use to heat my home study / studio area.
This is a sketch of Caudill Cabin that I created using a photo reference. Caudill cabin is located in Doughton Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. This cabin was once the homestead of the Caudill family. This area was once a thriving community but now the land is now managed by the National Park Service.
I really enjoy creating drawings with pen and ink. Below is a pen & ink sketch I did of a maple leaf several weeks ago.
