Inktober Day 31, Mask.
Inktober Day 31, Mask.
Inktober Day 30, Found.
Below is the photo I took during my hike.
Inktober Day 29, United. How about a hand extended for unity?
Inktober Day 27, Climb. Creepy crypt stairs…?
In case you haven’t noticed, I have missed a few days this week. The reason for this is the town I live in experienced an EF-1 tornado late Monday afternoon. As a result we lost power for about 2 1/2 days. We were lucky and only inconvenienced by the power outage. Other homes and businesses suffered moderate damage and I hope they are able to recover quickly.
My eyes simply aren’t good enough to draw by candle light so I was forced to take a break. I may go back and make up for some of the days that I missed. Especially if the prompt leads to an interesting idea.
Anyway, on to today’s sketch.
Inktober Day 26, Squeak. Will a squeaky water valve work?
Inktober Day 22, Trail.
It’s me “on trail” about 2 years ago at one of my favorite hiking spots. The sketch was done using a photo reference. The photograph was taken by a good friend as I was negotiating a shallow creek crossing.
Inktober Day 21, Furious.
Sometimes the fury of others is the last thing you see coming.
Inktober Day 20, Deep.
I’ve had a few busy days and fallen a bit behind, but here is the sketch for day 20!
Inktober Day 19, Cloud.
I had a little trouble coming up with an idea for today’s prompt of “cloud”. I wanted to somehow put a bit of a twist on the theme. So below is my attempt to create a face out of cloud forms.
Inktober Day 18, Filthy.
Ok, I had a vision of what I wanted this sketch to be…but, that was in the beginning. Somewhere along the journey the train went of the tracks. I tried a bit of experimentation and, well, it just didn’t turn out the way I envisioned it in my mind. Oh well, here it is anyway.
Inktober Day 17, Graceful. This one was easy…I took some inspiration from my daughter. She is a recent graduate of UNC School of the Arts with BFA in Contemporary Dance. She is now pursuing her dreams in Los Angeles, CA. I’m very proud of her.
Inktober Day 16, Fat. I struggled a bit with finding inspiration for today’s prompt. I ended up doing a quick sketch of a fat frog.
Inktober Day 15, Mysterious. Today’s sketch is loosely based on a photograph I took of my daughter.
Below is the original photograph. This photo was created as an entry for a levitation themed challenge. For the the sketch I inverted the composition so it appeared that she was falling.
Better late than never. I wasn’t able to complete this sketch on day 12. However, the theme appealed to me and I did not want to skip “shattered”.
The official prompt for today was “Run”. Here is my attempt at running water.
